New Owners

Hi all!

We're the new owners of Plate 21, but as Sandy said before, this shop really belongs to the community. Like so many people in Toledo, Plate 21 was our introduction to the coffee world. Craig and Shannon got married and moved into the apartment above the shop just two days before it opened in 2009, and Shannon went on to work as the opening barista for years. Britney and Adam have also been loyal regulars since the shop opened, and have loved South Toledo ever since. Plate is where we met some of our closest friends, got to know our community, and where a tight knit group of coffee lovers and baristas (past and present) formed and can still get together to nerd out about coffee. 

There's a real magic to all local coffee shops; every time we travel to a new city we make sure to stop at as many as we can. Each shop tells a story about it's community, and we look forward to telling the story of this neighborhood through Plate 21.

So, us? We're just four best friends who love coffee, love this community, and love this coffee shop so much that we decided to buy it. We hope you'll follow along on our journey, we can't wait to see you all!
